On September 16, 1958 Jennifer Tilly was born in Los Angeles in extremely substandard conditions. Her mother was teacher at a local school and was an unremarkable actor, while her father sold cars. Jennifer was the second child of her parents and often accompanied her mother, who worked as a teacher at school and a theater teacher, to performances. She thought she was amazing. Jennifer's parents divorced at the age of 5 years young. Jennifer lived the majority of her childhood within British Columbia, after her mother moved there with her four kids. Jennifer did not attend school however, as a child she was very artistic. When she was in Canada Jennifer was the victim of bullying frequently. Her interest began to wane at the theatre during her high school years. The mother of her child encouraged her to play additional roles in different plays. She encouraged her whole family to get involved in the art of making. After that, she immediately began acting.
